There are many website which ask for your location for many reasons. It is often fun to trick them by sending fake locations. Before HTML5, websites were using the IP address, GPS and other measures to track the user’s location.

But now Google’s developer team has made one tool in Google Developer’s tools which helps you to set your locations using custom coordinates. So now you can change your geo-location by changing the coordinates in Google Developer’s tools.

In this tutorial you will learn how to enable this tool and change your geo-location for the website or send fake location to the website. This is a very simple trick to perform. So let’s get started.

Step 1: Open Chrome and press Ctrl + Shift + I (Windows) and Command + Alt + I (Mac).

This tool is actually built for developers so they can test their website’s locations fetching feature from the same location. So now developers can change their coordinates using this tool and their website will be tested to fetch respective locations to check its accuracy.

If you are not a developer then there is no problem. You can still use this tool just for fun. You can share your fake location with your friends to amaze them. There are many website which want to  fetch your location as you visit them.

There is also one tool available which can help you find your current location. Where am I, a tool which tracks your location as you visit the webpage and allows the browser to use your location.
